I did a blog post earlier this week about membership in the South Capitol Neighborhood Association and in it, I included a link to a page on our website where you can join up.
An email with the link then went out to our listserv (email distribution list) and many of you responded. As our 99-year-old grandfather in Wisconsin used to say – thank ye, thank ye, thank ye!
As of this morning, we have 45 members on our list (including our board) but we would love more! So, please encourage others who live on your street and in the neighborhood to join. We welcome and strongly encourage renters to join!
I wanted to also add one small clarification on membership. To be counted, you and your partner or spouse must sign up individually rather than as a couple. My apologies for not being clearer on that before.
A few words about support while I’m at it
In addition to becoming a member, if you would like to monetarily support the neighborhood association and its activities, we are happy to accept your dollars via cash, check or card. Suggested annual dues are $15/year and are much appreciated (but not required) and you are certainly welcome to give more.
