About the SCNA

The South Capitol Neighborhood Association (SCNA) is made up of homeowners, renters, and small business owners, and we’d love for you to join us in dedicating a bit of your time, along with your great ideas, for the good of the community.

Members of the board volunteer their time to support activities that benefit the neighborhood, from organizing events to keeping up with issues that affect the South Capitol neighborhood. If you are interested in serving on the board, please contact us for more information.

Please consider joining and supporting the neighborhood association and attending a board meeting to learn more. The board meets usually the second Wednesday of every month. A link to the current agenda is on the home page.

Board Meetings

Board meetings are held the second Wednesday of every month. Anyone is welcome to attend.

A link to the agenda is posted on the website homepage prior to the meeting. Minutes of the meetings are posted on the site once they have been approved.

Annual Meeting

The neighborhood association annual meeting is held in February each year. We encourage members of the South Capitol neighborhood to attend.

Want to become a member?

If you reside in or own property or a business in the South Capitol neighborhood, you can become a member of the neighborhood association. It’s free to join.

Want to support us?

Please consider supporting our activities. Suggested annual dues are $15 a year.

Money received is used to pay for neighborhood mailings, events like summer or fall picnics, and match city grants for association projects.

Go to the Support the SCNA page to learn more about paying dues online or by check.
