Annual meeting is this Thursday!

It is now February (whew – already?) and your invitation to the South Capitol Neighborhood Association’s annual meeting should have arrived in your (U.S. snail) mailbox.

Please come!

We would love to have you join us, so please mark your calendars for this Thurs, Feb 15th, 7 – 8 pm at Lincoln Elementary School’s cafeteria.

There’ll be some required business on the agenda – two reports, a quick summary of the last board meeting minutes, elections of new board members – and then a presentation on traffic and speeding in the neighborhood, and a discussion on what we might do about it. We hope to have time, too, for a little socializing with old and new neighbors while munching on some yummy snacks.

How do I find the cafeteria?

In case you haven’t been there yet, here’s how to get to Lincoln School’s cafeteria. Lincoln is located at 213 – 21st Ave SE. Enter the school through the main doors on Washington Street, take the stairs down to the cafeteria, and that’s where you’ll find us!

We now have 88 neighborhood association members (thank you!) Per our bylaws, we need at least 25 members to attend so we can vote on board candidates at the meeting. If you haven’t yet become a member, it’s easy and it’s free to join! We’ll also do sign-ups at the door, so no excuses!

As an added bonus for those who can make it – you may become the lucky winner of our drawing for a $100 gift card to Vic’s Pizzeria. Must be present to win!
