The South Capitol Neighborhood Association (SCNA) will be holding a BBQ/potluck picnic on Sunday, Sept 8th from 3 to 6 pm at Lincoln Elementary School. So, please mark this date on your calendars and plan to attend!
The event is FREE and all South Capitol neighborhood residents are invited! So, bring friends and family and enjoy an afternoon of fun, getting to know your neighbors better.
FOOD! We’ll grill the hot dogs and hamburgers – please bring a chair and, if you can, a side dish to share. Beverages, chips, salads and goodies will also be provided.
What more do you need to know?
MUSIC! Neighborhood musician Michael Dempster and his band will entertain us with rock-and-roll hits from the 60s and 70s.
CHILDREN! We’ll have face painting, bubbles, balls, balloon animals and games galore – all we need are kids to enjoy them, so please bring them, too!
BOOTHS! Several organizations and city staff will share info about the Deschutes Restoration project, solar panels, recycling, and other items of interest.
PLAYSHED PRIZE! We’ll do a drawing for a $100 gift certificate to Vic’s Pizzeria – this proved very popular at our annual meeting in February. Must be present to win!
