The South Capitol Neighborhood Association (SCNA) will be holding its third annual BBQ/potluck social event on Sunday, Sept 7th from 2 to 5 pm at the Lincoln Elementary Playshed. So, please mark this date on your calendars and plan to attend!
The event is FREE and all South Capitol neighborhood residents are invited! So, please bring friends and family and enjoy an afternoon of fun and getting to know your neighbors better.
FOOD! We’ll be grilling hot dogs and hamburgers – please bring a chair and, if you can, a side dish to share. Beverages, chips, salads and goodies will also be provided.
What more do you need to know?
MUSIC! Neighborhood musician Michael Dempster and his band will entertain us with rock-and-roll hits from the 60s and 70s.
KIDS’ ACTIVITIES! We’ll have bubbles, balls, sidewalk chalk and games – all we need are kids to enjoy them, so please bring them, too!
BOOTHS! We have asked several local groups to come and share info about their organizations, projects, and other items of interest.
PLAYSHED PRIZE! We’ll do a drawing for a $100 gift certificate to Vic’s Pizzeria – this proved very popular at our annual meeting in June and at our two previous BBQ Socials. Must be present to win!
