It’s mid-August and summer seems to be flying by. And that means it’s almost time for our third annual BBQ/Potluck Picnic, which is shaping up to be another fun event! Invitations were mailed out last week, but in case you missed it – here are the details below.
Please come! We’d love to have you join us!
South Capitol Neighborhood BBQ/Potluck Picnic
Sunday, Sept 7th, 2 – 5 pm
Lincoln Elementary School Playground and Playshed
The picnic is free and all South Capitol neighborhood residents are welcome to attend! So, please bring your family and friends for an afternoon of fun, celebrating the end of a wonderful summer, and (we hope) an even better fall, and a chance to get to know your neighbors better!
We’ll be grilling hot dogs, hamburgers and veggie burgers – if you can, please bring along a chair and a side dish to share.
Michael Dempster and his band will again entertain us with rock-and-roll hits from the ’60s and ’70s. And we’ll have fun outdoor activities for the kids.
A number of organizations will also be on hand to share info about the Deschutes Restoration Project, electric cars, the Olympia police and fire departments, the Northwest Justice Project, TVW, and more.
As an added bonus – we’ll be doing a drawing for a $100 gift card to Vic’s Pizzeria. Must be present to win!
Hope to see you there!
