Commissioner Jasmine Vasavada of the Port of Olympia has asked to meet with the South Capitol community on Wednesday March 11 at 6:30 pm in the Lincoln Elementary School library. Everyone is invited to come, learn and ask questions of Commissioner Vasavada about the Port of Olympia and its initiatives.
The Commission describes this meeting as follows:
We are reaching out to local Neighborhood Associations within Thurston County’s District One to offer brief, informational presentations by our District One Commission President, Jasmine Vasavada, about the Port’s role in our community.
As you may know, the Port of Olympia supports local jobs, economic development, environmental stewardship, transportation infrastructure, recreation, tourism, and community spaces throughout the county. We would welcome the opportunity to share how our work connects to the local economy, sustainability efforts, and community priorities, while also answering any questions your members may have.
