It is now August (already? whew! the summer seems to have flown by) and your invitation to the South Capitol Neighborhood Association’s BBQ/Potluck Picnic should be arriving in your mailbox soon.

South Capitol Neighborhood BBQ/Potluck Picnic
Sunday, Sept 8th, 3 – 6 pm
Lincoln Elementary School Playshed
The picnic is free and all South Capitol neighborhood residents are welcome to attend! So, please bring your family and friends for an afternoon of fun, celebrating the end of a wonderful summer, and (we hope) an even better fall, and a chance to get to know your neighbors better!
We’ll be grilling hot dogs and hamburgers – if you can, please bring along a chair and a side dish to share.
Our neighbor, Michael Dempster, and his band will entertain us with rock-and-roll hits from the ’60s and ’70s. And we’ll have face painting, games, and fun activities for the kids.
A number of organizations will also be on hand to share info about the Deschutes Restoration Project, solar panels, recycling, and other items of interest.
And, as an added bonus – we’ll be doing a drawing for a $100 gift card to Vic’s Pizzeria. Must be present to win!
