In early to mid-September, 181 members of the community responded to a survey on small-scale commercial uses in residential neighborhoods. (previous article about this)
The survey asked community members about the types of businesses that should be allowed, their scale/size, and other requirements they felt would be needed to minimize impacts on nearby properties within the neighborhood.
The South Capitol Neighborhood Association will be holding a community forum on this topic and on changes to home-based businesses on Weds, Oct 21, 2026 at 6:30 pm in the Lincoln Elementary cafeteria.
