A section of Capitol Way S will be closed to all traffic, including emergency vehicles, beginning at 7 p.m. on Thursday, August 20. The road will reopen at 5 a.m. the following morning. This closure affects Capitol Way S between 14th Avenue/Sid Snyder Avenue and 15th Avenue. The closure supports ongoing construction on the Capitol Campus Pedestrian Bridge and will allow crews and equipment to remove the center span of the bridge.
Detour routes for vehicles and pedestrians will be in place. Please follow posted signage and use caution when traveling in the area. If possible, consider alternate routes to avoid delays.
